AREAS OF IMPACT GROWING THE GAME The game of hockey is one of the greatest sports on earth and we want everyone to experience it. We want to break down barriers and give the ability to play and enjoy hockey to as many people as possible. The Ottawa Senators Hockey Club and Sensplex is dedicated to supporting minor hockey throughout the region by educating coaches, players and teams, emphasizing skill development, fair play and fun at all levels.



Did you know that one in five local kids don’t have access to after-school sports, recreation or social programs? 1 All children deserve an opportunity to participate in sport and recreation. Exercise and activity teach skills such as patience, perseverance and teamwork - tools that will help kids for the rest of their lives. The Ottawa Senators Foundation is committed to changing the statistics so children across the region have a chance to discover the benefits of play.

ROGER NEILSON HOUSE Did you know: more than 3.2 million 12-to-19 year olds in Canada are at risk for developing depression 2 , in 2018 there were 900 homeless people under the age of 25 who used shelters in the Nation's Capital 3 and thirty per cent of youth struggling with addiction drop out of school? 4 Since 2009, the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club and its Foundation, has invested more than $1.5 million into organizations and programs focused on meeting the needs of families with children and youth suffering from depression, homelessness and addictions. Roger Neilson House is a pediatric respite and palliative care home dedicated to enhancing the comfort and quality of life of children and families in a time of need. Roger Neilson House provides a comprehensive pediatric palliative care program with elements of outreach, residential hospice, pain and symptom management, grief and bereavement counselling and research.


Did you know that at the Grade 6 level only 57 per cent of students met the provincial standard in mathematics? 5 The Ottawa Senators Foundation in partnership with the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club has invested in our community’s future through educational initiatives directed towards youth, teens and young adults.
